31 Who are the key industry bodies and how are they to deal with? In Israel Team Finland works closely with Israel Innovation Authority, Startup Nation Central, Israel Chambers of Commerce, Israel Export Institute and naturally with respective ministries. I have to say that I have been positively surprised with collaborative, open and business orientated mindset with all of them! In cultural terms, how would you describe any differences in doing business with Finns? What cultural nuances should Israelis be aware of? There are some cultural differences between Israel and Finland, but I would like to see these complementing each other: where Israelis are very strong at scaling B2B companies, Finnish companies have great B2C solutions build on user friendly and excellent UX/UI principles. I think that Finns have still a few things to learn in sales and commercializing from Israelis. Perhaps it is rooting from our humbleness but other the other hand, we don’t want to overpromise, and you can trust that Finns deliver what they promise. In terms of similarities, Finns and Israeli’s are both direct, frank and to the point people and very well connected in their respective ecosystems. Also, Finnish word “sisu” describing state of mind and attitude is very close to Israeli “chutzpah”. You can reach Sami and Alon via the Finnish Embassy in Tel Aviv
